The cool part is that I bought it for $20 from a guy who just had it laying around collecting dust. The danger with these purchases is that some aspect of the guitar is going to suck. My Johnson has some fret buzz on some of the higher frets, and that makes me a little sad. Its redeeming quality is the way it croons those low, sonorous notes. Here's how it sounds:
The song is called "Charity Royall," after the protagonist in Edith Wharton's Summer:
She came down from the mountaintop
She stole pieces of the moon
She brought them down as fire in her eyes
And each one burns a hole in me
They won't burn long, they can't burn long
But they'll burn brighter than a newborn sun
She went back up to the mountaintop
She traded pieces of the moon
Then she became the stars in the sky
And each one burns a hole in me
Oh they'll burn long, yeah they'll burn long
Each one brighter than a newborn sun

It may be my speakers, but I can't hear it. Please tell me it's not my speakers.
ok. i won't tell you it's your speakers. space monkeys are slurping up the sound waves before they reach your ears (it works for me).
:)
I was able to listen to it. I like it. My speakers at work are shot, but the ones at home work. :o)
